Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated Software Developer. This position will be located in St. Louis, MO, reporting to a Development Manager.

To make this possible, we build great, innovative software that accelerates the complete portfolio, from the lab to the field to the customer.  Example solutions include real-time streaming data from connected devices, mobile data collection and visualization suites, big data genomics repositories, and geospatial computing systems, just to name a few.  To build great software, we need great people.

As an entry Software Developer, you will join a comprehensive on-boarding and mentorship program to help build technical and professional skills. The program is an exciting opportunity that will help accelerate your career by providing specialized training, mentoring, coaching and feedback.  You will be exposed to agile software development, working with other entry software developers to solve complex problems using the latest tools and technologies.  You will work directly with your mentor daily and have access to our community of expert software developers with a broad range of skills and experience.

Position are available in the following areas:

  • Product Development Team:  Software Developers in Product Development work collaboratively on small, autonomous teams.  We create applications directly for end users as well as frameworks and tools used by developers across the organization.  As owners of the development process for the products they build, teams are empowered to create solutions and find the right tools for the job.  We use a variety of modern technologies to solve complex problems across a wide range of business domains for users all over the world.
  • Cloud Engineering Team: In the Cloud Engineering team, you will partner with developers across IT to automate existing processes and champion the culture of Agile and DevOps. We operate across a wide gamut of disciplines including cloud infrastructure, security, automation, identity management, developer productivity, IoT, analytics, and more. We approach all of these problems with an eye towards automation and monitoring for compliance, rather than traditional separation of duties.  We also provide support and consulting to teams where needed but look to solve common problems through automation and self-service tools we will develop.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an expected graduation date prior to 2019;
  • Experience or education in the following areas:
    • SDLC (software development lifecycle)
    • Object Oriented or Functional Programming language (ex. JavaScript, Swift, Java, C#, Scala, Ruby).
