Responsibilities

You will engage with industry leading scientists on projects that will revolutionize agriculture through the rapid development of next generation technologies. Be part of the future of agriculture and identify exciting ways to visualize data to drive actions and decisions that have a global impact on product development and farmers around the world. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, breeders, other spatial and environmental scientists and developers. You will help build the next generation of phenomics with a specific focus on scaling, optimizing and deploying new models.

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a closely-related field
  • A passion for building highly automated systems
  • Proficient in Python, R, Spark and AWS
  • Strong business aptitude, the ability to rapidly learn new problem domains, and become conversant in the domain with subject matter experts 
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and proven problem solving abilities 
  • Proven ability to communicate complex qualitative analysis in clear, precise and actionable manner.
  • Creativity in validating and optimizing analytic solutions 
  • Strong sense of ownership: Ability to initiate, coordinate and lead new projects
  • Prioritizing among multiple tasks/projects according to business value/needs
  • Passion to grow and willingness to be intellectually challenged; willingness to influence and inspire others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in communicating computational solutions to scientific problems and conclusions from analysis of complex data. 
  • Proven skills and experience in definition and implementation of computational solutions: 
  • Concrete understanding of database and software development practices. 
  • Must be resourceful and creative in identifying ways to mitigate issues and risks to avoid project delays.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary/multicultural research team
  • Strong sense of ownership: Ability to initiate, coordinate and lead new projects
  • Prioritizing among multiple tasks/projects according to business value/needs
