Responsibilities

The major end product manufactured in Luling is the herbicide Roundup®.  The Luling Plant has been a certified OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Site since 1994.
The Luling facility has a Co-op opening available for a college student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field who has completed at least their sophomore year. Co-op assignments are approximately six months and are offered for the fall term of 2019. 
Responsibilities may include troubleshooting and providing recommendations for mechanical equipment, improving the reliability and cost associated with a process area's mechanical equipment, applying industry standards and government regulations, maintaining the inspection/testing requirements of area vessels and safety devices, and developing Impromptu/Access reports for accessing maintenance information.
Required:
  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering degree program (or related field)
  • Completed at least the sophomore year
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
  • Must be returning to school upon completion of co-op term to continue program of study.
