Sales Representative

Bayer Crop Science, is looking for candidates for the position of Sales Representative North Netherlands in our Vegetable Seeds Division. The person in this role will be responsible for promotion and sales in the assigned area in line with the country sales policy to achieve growth in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Planned and regular customer visits (distributors and key growers)
  • Keep/offer prices and terms of payments in line with Bayer policy and written/published price list
  • Deliver presentations to customers and potential customers to promote our products and increase our sales
  • Use understanding of agronomy to better position our products, support customers and position yourself as a credible advisor
  • Strategically plan activities to generate demand of our products
  • Create unique events with customers that reinforce the value of our brand(s), improve customer’s experience and maximize on opportunities to communicate the value and performance of our products in order to create demand
  • Build effective and influential relationships with customers that lead to increased sales and market share
  • Provides after-sales services to understand customer needs and increase loyalty
  • Product responsibility for assigned crops
  • Support the marketing department in creation of communication materials and organizing local events
  • Regularly report to Sales Manager, provide information on customers, products, competitors and market trends
  • Accounts receivable: assure in-time payments
  • Product responsibility: handle all complaints/claims in the assigned area
  • Keep customer database up-to-date, expand database
Required Skills/Experience:
  • Ability to build relationships and execute our operational plan in the assigned area with a strong focus on operational excellence
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication-, interpersonal-, organization- & time management skills
  • Strong courage and candor to manage challenges
  • Strong result orientation towards goals with focus on customer experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Driving license “B” category
Desired Skills/Experience:
  • Broad knowledge in open vegetable field crops
  • Good knowledge of vegetable and seed business
  • Knowledge of MS Office at user level
  • Native Dutch speaker
  • Good command of English
