Advance degree: MSc/Ph.D. in Plant Pathology, Plant Sciences, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Quantitative Genetics, Statistical Genetics, Molecular Breeding, or a related field
Additional experience of plus 5 or more years of post-doctoral experience and/or industry-related experience.
Strong leadership skills to lead and manage an effective team with geographic distance and cultural differences
Individual leadership skills that included excellent organization, interpersonal, and effective verbal and written communication skills necessary to work effectively in a team-based and cross-functional team in a dynamic environment.
Multitasking, being hands-on and being proactive are essential for success in this role while energy and agility are also positive attributes for this role.
Experience in pathology disease and the application of quantitative genetics and applied statistics are desirable, additionally an understanding of the concepts, tools, and methods used in analytical analysis would be an asset
Ensure that the research team is trained and compliant with the Monsanto ESH safety policies to ensure safe operations of the research program
Recruitment, training, development and retention of research support personnel
Required to travel locally and internationally as needed. This role will involve traveling at least 10% of the time throughout the calendar year.
The ability to write and speak English fluently is essential
A valid driver’s license is a mandatory
