We are creating this role in Amsterdam (NL) and looking for our Monsanto BioAg Seed Application Specialist for Europe & Middle East (M/F).
In this role, you will be responsible for the fulfillment of our core crops Corn, Oil Seed Rape, Wheat, Soy seed treatment certification process with both internal & external partners.
You will have further responsibility for the application troubleshooting, and overall technical support of all Monsanto BioAg products and technologies to the seed industry throughout EME.
You will be responsible for the coordination and communication of all Monsanto BioAg needs for product viability/compatibility work with our BioAg Alliance testing partner, Novozymes and Monsanto BioAg Sales and Marketing departments.
The position will also partner with the Technical Development Agronomist on field trial evaluations of key products with our contract research organization and Global Technology Development team focusing on market development trials of our product portfolio and competitive products.
- Certification of Central Treating locations
Seed sample collection, Monsanto BioAg product treatment certification; initiate lab evaluation of seed samples via Novozymes compatibility team and report results in accordance with policies and agreements to our partners
- Initiate seed safety/germ testing when required
Inspection of equipment and continuous process improvement suggestions to our partners to ensure highest time on seed for our biologicals
Partner with Sales and Marketing to assist Central Treating location equipment upgrades
- Retail Treating
- Seed treatment equipment troubleshooting
- Product application troubleshooting
- Recommend process and equipment upgrades
- Seed Treatment Compatibility
Determine product compatibility requirements of seed companies and retail customers
Analyze current compatibility recommendations and determine where gaps exist
Partner with Novozymes compatibility team to ensure required compatibility work is in the queue and scheduled
Support and coordination of the Technical Agronomist on field trials
You hold a bachelor of Science in Agronomy, Microbiology, or allied science and count 5 years experience in the EME seed/seed treatment industry, with specific experience in seed treating equipment.
You have a strong knowledge of key agronomic aspects of major European and Middle East crops and field trial testing methods.

Language : Fluency in English is a must - French is nice to have.
The position will require a high degree of travel to seed treatment sites primarily in France and Hungary but also to tollers in EME (UA/TK/…) as well as required travel in support of field trials.
